The cries of rhyme sounded out in echoes, the rhyme harmonized by girls, several girls as light shined down on one thing and one thing only, my eye's as fear beat through my veins I listened as they sing, I listened as I looked onwards at a man who was a creature unknown to people like me. He was dark, disturbed and unable to feel compassion or consideration; but as I looked on, all I heard was the rhyme, that choir of girls sang.
"One; Two, He's Coming For You!"
"Three; Four, Run No More!"
"Five; Six, Take A Breath!"
"Seven; Eight, God Can't Help!"
"Nine; Ten, It's Your Las..."
And then... I came to! "Aggghh!!" I yelled out as I awoke from my sleep, brushing the duvet away from my torso as my bitter sweat dropped on the cloth as the white turned dark as the moisture hit. I whipped my forehead with the back of my hand, staring at the hairs along my arm as they stood in fear of what I had just dreamed. I was breathing in and out heavily, as I heard a gust of wind coming from the window!
I looked over and saw the curtain waving around in the wind as the light from the full-lit moon cascaded through the clouds and shined down through my bedroom window. I needed to cool off, I need to get some air and I needed to dry myself off.
I grabbed ahold the back of my head as I walked over to the window, shutting it. Yet letting out a deep breath as the final gust of wind glanced off my chest. I felt the good of the cold air relax my body immediately as I making my way to the bathroom, flicking on the light switch and twisting the knob of the tap as the cold water flowed from it, rotating around the sink hole and disappear. Taking with it any fragments of dirt that rested against the sides of the sink.
I cupped my hands together and allowed the to fill with the clear, cold, fresh tap-water. Through the water against my face repeatedly and feeling my face drift from intense heat to welcomed brisk, as the water flowed down the side of my cheeks, rolled down my chin and dripped off into the outgoing water as I reached for a towel off the rack with one hand, yet turning off the knob of the tap with the other.
I dabbed my face with the towel, feeling it dry instantly as I stood in an upright position, only able to see the lavender yellow shaded towel and the left side of the large bathroom mirror from the corner of my eye before giving my face one last thorough stroke before throwing the towel to the ground below, listening to wet cloth hit the marble tiled floor before bending over against the rim of the bathroom and glancing at the mirror.
All I could see was a red, scarred mark on the upper right side of my neck. I gently, and cautiously brushed the index finger of my right hand against it as a sting shuttered through the scar. I hissed in pain, and took my hand away as I dropped my head down and backed away from the mirror, not wanting to think about how I had been threatened by the man known as... I refuse to speak his name.
I flicked off the light of the bathroom and walked to my bed, placing my legs back under the moist duvet and pulling it up past my briefs and torso as I rested my head on the pillow and began my endless forward stare at the ceiling above. I felt like I was in the movies with Freddy Krueger. I felt like if I went to sleep that anything could happen, and I mean anything.
I continuously had this recurring nightmare, it had given me sleepless nights since my frist disappears from PPW. The same things kept happening, nothing was out of place, it didn't go any further then a certain point and it didn't shed any light on my situation. I was going out of my fucking mind.
The illusion of a nightmare commenced in the same fashion each time. I'd awake, under an abundant of fog, looking up at the sky... There is no sky, so in truth I don't know what I'm looking at. The sky is replaced by nothing but the colour; black.
I rise to my feet, fog dispersing around me as I sweep it away from my eyes, attempting to look onwards and through the dense cloud of somber, seeing nothing but hearing sound. I hear the crowing of crows and the fluttering of bat wings. I hear the pecking of Vultures and their wings glide from above, I look at one as it pasts me overhead and flies on, vanishing from sight only a few metres away from me.
I hear the friction of stones underneath my feet as I walk forward, constantly brushing the mist from around me, coughing loudly as some penetrates my lungs! I cough up a morsel of flem, spitting it out to my side I hear as it connects with the floor, and yet strangely enough not a moment later; I hear the echo!
I come to a dark cave and all I see is black. I cautiously decide I should turn around, and I do so, but the way I came in has perished! I can feel my heart beating, almost in my mouth, of course if possible as I allow a sigh of adrenaline fused by fear to leave my body as I see nothing but black. I see nothing. I stretch my arm out and feel the cold stone of the wall as I use it to guide me through the dark cave. I walk for about a minute, continually going straight! No turns, no bumps and no bends in the passage, until I take a deep, dark drop; down!
As I took a step, my foot never touched surface. I didn't realize in time and I instead plummet downwards on a slide like venture, screaming at the top of my lungs, losing air half way down, becoming silent yet still travelling down. I feel the air glance onto my face, as if it wasn't a dream, as if I really there. And then I again see light, and I feel water as I come to the end of the trip, gliding off the edge of the slide into a fountain of water. Submerged by water I take a deep breath and rise from it, scratching and clawing my way out, using the nails of my fingers to hook myself on the sides of this fountain I pull my soaked carcass out, falling on my knees before bouncing upwards.
I stand still, I see nothing except the dull grey of the mist...
But I hear them!
Those cries of harmony and rhyme, sang by the choir of girls. It rang out as I stood dripping wet, rotating around constantly, yelling periodically, letting out a cry before misplacing a foot again falling to the ground. I feel the pain, I actually feel it vibrating through my knees and elbows as they crash against the ground.
This can't be a dream, in dreams you can't feel pain. You can't feel air as it cuts through your skin or the feeling of your heart as it skips a beat due to fear; fear, you can't feel fear in a dream, you can't feel adrenaline!
Then how can I feel all of that?
I look upwards as I lay on my chest on the ground, as I look beyond it, at a Cobra dancing in front of my eyes! Was this a sign? I know a Cobra isn't a Snake but it's pretty damn close and known of this is making sense! It reminded me for a moment of my match. Why am I thinking of a wrestling match at a time like this? And I no longer was, as I heard those cries grow louder, and then the fog... It... It begins to disperse from around me.
I come to my feet, and I look forward. Three, dirty blond haired girls. Wearing white, knee length dresses and white ribbon bows in their hair, perched behind their heads in a ponytail. Skipping over a rope, giggling, yet signing. It was like a horror movie, but the movie was my dream. At first I saw three; three girls skipping over a black, large rope with white handles but then I saw; I saw six!
To the side of the three originals, three more, dressed in the exact same fashioned appeared almost from the dusk of the fog. I moved, not even an inch forward and a large gust of wind, blew me, not only backwards but off my feet. As if it knew I had moved, and as if it were against my movements.
I again found myself, on the floor, leaning on my elbow and looking at my hands, pierced by miniature grey stones. I brush them off my hand; And then... And then it begins!
"One; Two, He's Coming For You!"
The girl who stands in the middle of the second row of girls, she moves forward, with the other two, only a step behind as the middle one songs out the first line, as I look towards them. I look into her eyes; she has no eyes! It's just black, eternal blackness. I use my elbow and push myself backwards, and then I hear a sound, the sound of a crack echo out.
"Three; Four, Run No More!"
That sound came from the other triplet of girls, dropping their skipping rope to the floor, turning around and forming a line, and again beginning a slow, eerie, dark, ominous walk towards me as I continued moving an inch or so backwards every time they move an inch or so forwards. I hear the clap from the soles of their shoes, any sound you make would echo out.
"Five; Six, Take A Breath!"
I continued my crawl backwards, wishing and preying I awake as I feel the small stones roll along with me as I swallow a lump in my throat, as all six girls begin to sing. As the echo grows louder and my movements grow quieter I feel the back of my head hit something; I hear another voice, and as I look around my shoulder, I see another three girls and now I feel closed in and surrounded!
"Seven; Eight, God Can't Help!"
And at that line I feel my hair atop my head move as not one, but many gusts of wind blow past me as I wince for help. My preying stop, and my tears following. This is no dream, this isn't even a nightmare, this is worse then any dream or any nightmare. And then all I see is forward as a dawn of darkness falls and the only light that is seen is the one overhead a man wearing a hood over his head; but I know who it is...
"Nine; Ten, It's Your Last Chance!"
I awake!
"Aggghhhhh!!!" It wasn't a dream, it wasn't a nightmare. I was simply being tortured, followed and harassed. I was being hunted, and I knew of the hunter. I again brushed the tip's of my finger's against the scar left from his blade on my neck, and again feel the pain; but I liked it! It assured me I was awake. It assured me, it wasn't my Last Chance! I'm coming back for you Dale and your friends I know you set me up and it was not Matt and Max that attacked me in the locker room.
"One; Two, He's Coming For You!"
